WHO WE ARE

Where strangers become family

What is the Episcopal Church?

The Episcopal Church is a liturgical church, which means that we worship God through the ancient rites and prayers that have come down to us from the early Christian church. We read and preach the Bible every week. And we pray together and praise God together from our Book of Common Prayer.

Come join us around God's Holy Altar and share the bread and wine with us, and find, as we do, that we are made strong together to do the work of God in the world

What We Believe

Episcopalians believe in One God, the Father and creator of us and all things, the Son, Jesus Christ, who saves us from sin and death, and the Holy Spirit who renews us as the Children of God.

We believe, through the power of the Holy Spirit, God lives in our everyday lives.  We are to be the hands and feet of Christ in the world.

Episcopalians believe the Holy Scriptures to be the Word of God. The Bible is our foundation and Holy Scripture, understood through tradition and reason, contains everything needed for salvation.

“This is the Jesus Movement, and we are the Episcopal Church, the Episcopal branch of Jesus’ movement in this world.”

“If it’s not about love, it’s not about God.”

“Being a Christian is not essentially about joining a church or being a nice person, but about following in the footsteps of Jesus, taking his teachings seriously, letting his Spirit take the lead in our lives, and in so doing helping to change the world from our nightmare into God’s dream.”
